Rajasthan Royals (RR), the winners of the inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL), have been unable to reclaim the title again. The Royals had a rollercoaster ride in the previous IPL season, finishing fifth and missing out on the playoffs.
The Rajasthan Royals’ management has taken significant moves to restructure and strengthen their roster as the 2024 IPL season approaches. The Rajasthan Royals management retained a core group of players such as Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, and others.
However, in order to improve their lineup, the Royals have parted ways with nine players, signalling a change in squad composition. Moreover, the Rajasthan Royals executed a significant trade, acquiring Avesh Khan from the Lucknow Super Giants in exchange for Devdutt Padikkal.
The squad made safe moves in the IPL 2024 player action, securing five players to improve their lineup. Notable among their additions was West Indies’Â all-rounder Rovman Powell, whose diverse skills promise to make an impact on both the batting and bowling.
