Karun Nair Joins Lucknow Super Giants As KL Rahul’s Replacement For IPL 2023

Lucknow Super Giants have suffered a major blow as their captain KL Rahul has been ruled out of the remainder of the IPL 2023 season due to a significant tendon tear. To fill the void, the franchise has brought in the experienced middle-order batsman Karun Nair as Rahul’s replacement.

Nair has consistently performed in the IPL, having played 76 matches and scored 1496 runs at an average of 23.75 and a strike rate of 127.75. His highest score in the IPL is 83.

Karun Nair has previously played for Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), and Delhi Capitals and is known for his ability to score quick runs in the middle overs. His inclusion in the LSG squad will give them a much-needed boost in the batting department, which has struggled in the absence of KL Rahul.
