Talking about the match, the Indian team won the toss and batted first, scoring 234 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. Subhaman Gill scored an unbeaten 123* off 63 balls for India, with 12 fours and seven sixes. The New Zealand team was all out for 66 runs in 12.1 overs while chasing 235 runs. Hardik Pandya took four wickets for India, while Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik, and Shivam Mavi each took two.
