Sachin Tendulkar’s Life-size Statue To Be Inaugurated At Wankhede On November 1

Cricket enthusiasts and Sachin Tendulkar’s fans around the world are eagerly awaiting a historic moment as the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) gears up to unveil a life-size statue of the cricketing legend at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 1. This beautiful tribute, offered to the Master Blaster on his 50th birthday, illustrates his unrivaled contributions to cricket.

The statue will be installed near the Sachin Tendulkar Stand at Wankhede Stadium. This choice of location holds immense significance as it was at this very stadium that India lifted the ICC Cricket World Cup for the second time in 2011. The Sachin Tendulkar Stand symbolises the countless moments of joy, pride, and excitement that the maestro brought to Indian cricket.

Initially, it was reported that the statue’s inauguration would be a high-profile event, with a prominent minister presiding over the ceremony just before the start of the World Cup matches. However, there has been a change in plans. The statue of Sachin Tendulkar will now be unveiled on November 1, a day before India’s ODI World Cup 2023 match against Sri Lanka, which is scheduled for November 2.

The inauguration of Sachin Tendulkar’s statue is expected to be a grand affair. Notably, Team India will be in participation, and the cricketing legend himself will be present. MCA President Amol Kale promised that further information regarding the event would soon be provided in an official invitation. Renowned artist Pramod Kamble, a painter-sculptor from Ahmednagar, is crafting the life-size statue of Sachin Tendulkar.
