Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Will Jacks Ruled Out Of IPL 2023 Due To Injury

Will Jacks, the talented English cricketer who was part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team for the upcoming season of the IPL 2023, has unfortunately been ruled out of the tournament. Jacks was acquired by RCB in the auction held last year, with the franchise paying INR 3.2 crore to secure his services. He was expected to be a key team member with his aggressive batting and athletic fielding skills.

However, during the ODI series against Bangladesh, Will Jacks suffered a muscle injury while fielding. The extent of the injury was not immediately clear, and he continued to play through the series. However, upon further examination, it was revealed that the injury was more severe than initially thought. The scans arrived earlier last week, and after consulting with specialists, it was decided that the cricketer would have to pull out of the IPL.

According to ESPNCricinfo, the RCB team management is reportedly in talks with New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell as a potential replacement for Will Jacks. Michael Bracewell was part of the IPL auction in December last year but went unsold at the base price of INR 1 crore. He is a talented all-rounder with a solid record in domestic cricket, and he could be a good addition to the RCB squad if they decide to bring him on board as a replacement for Jacks.
