To replace Archer, Mumbai Indians have named the experienced Chris Jordan in their squad. Jordan has played 28 IPL matches so far and has picked up 27 wickets with best bowling figures of 4/11 and an economy rate of 9.32. The right-arm pacer has previously played for teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.

Mumbai Indians, currently sitting in the eighth position on the points table, have had a mixed campaign with five wins and five losses out of their ten matches. Losing Archer, one of their key players, would be a massive blow to their playoff hopes. They hope that Jordan can step up and fill in the void left by Archer’s absence.
