A stunning 333 cricketers, representing a diverse mix of talent worldwide, are set to compete in the auction. Two hundred fourteen of these prospects are local Indian players, while 119 are overseas players, including representatives from associate nations.
The auction pool is divided into categories, with 116 capped players and 215 uncapped youngsters filled with potential and promise. Also, the inclusion of talent from associate nations underscores IPL’s commitment to nurturing and fostering global cricket talent.
Ahead of the IPL 2024 Player Auction, Gujarat Titans emerge as the frontrunners in terms of financial firepower, boasting the highest purse of 38.15 crores. In contrast, Lucknow Super Giants have a relatively limited budgetary allocation of 13.15 crores, paving the way for astute financial planning and strategic acquisitions.
