The match was halted after Hyderabad fans attacked the LSG dugout, causing chaos and panic.
The Lucknow Super Giants won the match by seven wickets, but the result was overshadowed by the ugly incident that took place during the match. In the 19th over of the Hyderabad innings, Lucknow Supergiants bowler Avesh Khan bowled a no ball against Abdul Samad. The field umpire initially called it a no-ball, but the Lucknow team reviewed it, and the third umpire overruled the on-field decision, calling it a fair delivery.
This decision did not sit well with the Hyderabad fans, who started throwing nuts and bolts into the Lucknow dugout and started chanting, “Kohli…Kohli…” The situation quickly turned violent, and the umpires had no option but to stop the game. The match was halted for a while due to the chaos caused by the fans but resumed shortly after.
