The 15th edition of the Men’s Hockey World Cup started on January 13. India is hosting the Hockey World Cup this year. The Hockey World Cup will be held in Odisha from January 13 to 29. Bhubaneswar and Rourkela are the World Cup hosting cities. India is hosting the Men’s Hockey World Cup for the fourth time.
A total of 16 teams are participating in the Hockey World Cup. All teams are divided into four pools. India has won the Men’s Hockey World Cup only once so far. In 1975, India won the World Cup in Kuala Lumpur by defeating Pakistan.
