India’s Deepak Chahar, who claimed 6 for seven against Bangladesh in 2019, holds the record for the highest bowling figures in a T20I among full ICC members.
In the match, China opted to bat first but faced a formidable challenge from the Malaysian bowlers. The Chinese team was all out for 23 runs in just 11.2 overs. Opener Wei Guo Lei scored a mere seven runs, while six Chinese batters were dismissed without adding any runs to the board. With such a small target, Malaysia comfortably chased it down, reaching 24 for 2 in a mere 4.5 overs.
