The Delhi Capitals Women’s Team is a professional cricket team representing Delhi City in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) playoffs. The team is owned by JSW-GMR Company, a joint venture between JSW Group and GMR Group, which acquired the franchise for a whopping sum of Rs 810 crore.
In preparation for the WPL 2023 action, the Delhi Capitals Women’s Team has put together a strong squad featuring some of the most talented players in women’s cricket. Key players in the squad include Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Meg Lanning, and Marizanne Kapp.
The Delhi Capitals Women’s Team will be looking to make a strong start in the tournament when they take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their first match. The team has invested heavily in its player roster, spending Rs 11.65 crore on 18 players, including 12 Indians and six foreigners.
