The BCCI has announced the men’s and women’s squads for the Asian Games 2022. The event is scheduled from 23rd September to 8th October 2023 in Hangzhou, China, as part of the 19th Asian Games. Cricket is among the 37 sports featured at the 2022 Asian Games.
Both men’s and women’s cricket tournaments will be held during this edition of the Asian Games. It is worth noting that cricket was last played at the Asian Games in 2014, making its return even more exciting for fans and players alike. All the matches in the Asian Games cricket tournament will be played in the T20 format, ensuring fast-paced and thrilling encounters.
However, due to the overlap with the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, some key players will not be available for the Asian Games as they will be representing India in the global tournament.
