BCCI Announces India Squad For India Tour Of South Africa 2023-24

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squads for the highly awaited India Tour of South Africa 2023-24, which will take place from December 10, 2023, to January 7, 2024. This exciting tour will feature three T20Is, three ODIs, and three Test matches between the two cricketing powerhouses.

One of the most notable discoveries in the squad announcement was Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s request to opt out of the white-ball leg of the tour to take a much-needed rest. In Rohit Sharma’s absence, KL Rahul will captain the ODI team, while Suryakumar Yadav will captain the T20I team.

The Indian squad’s bowling contingent faces a potential setback as Mohammed Shami, an integral part of the team’s pace battery, is undergoing medical treatment. His inclusion and availability for the tour remain subject to his fitness assessment.
