The most noticeable change was the captaincy, passed from Rovman Powell to the more experienced David Warner. The Capitals elected to keep only five players for the upcoming ILT20 2024 season, including talents like Joe Root, Rovman Powell, and Sikandar Raza.
In addition to this retention plan, the team undertook a major makeover, resulting in 11 significant new signings. Among the prominent additions are David Warner, Mark Wood, Dasun Shanaka, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
