37-year-old Manoj Tiwary announces his retirement from all forms of the game. Manoj Tiwary announced his retirement through his official Instagram account, expressing his gratitude for the game that has been an intrinsic part of his life.
In a heartfelt post, Tiwary stated, “Goodbye to the game of cricket. This game has given me everything, I mean every single thing which I had never dreamt of, starting from the times when my life was challenged by different forms of difficulties.” He further attributed his success to cricket and the unwavering support of the divine. He also acknowledged his coaches, from his formative years to his recent endeavours, for shaping his remarkable achievements on the field.

Manoj Tiwary left an indelible mark in the 2006-07 Ranji Trophy for Bengal with an astounding 796 runs at an average of 99.50. Tiwary played for 12 ODIs and 3 T20Is for India. Beyond the national team, he showcased his skills in 98 Indian Premier League (IPL) games, representing various franchises. His cricketing journey traversed multiple teams, including India, Abahani Limited, Bengal, Delhi Daredevils, India A, India Green, India Under-19s, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Rising Pune Supergiant.
As he steps away from the cricket, Tiwary has taken on a new role as the Minister of State for Youth Services and Sports of West Bengal, further cementing his commitment to sports and youth development.
